Only 20 years ago, very few people had cellular phones and even if a family had a computer, it was usually a desktop with a bulky monitor. Cell phones were used to make and receive calls on, were huge, bulky, and expensive and rarely provided excellent service.
My, how times have changed. The iPhone 5 is so much more than a phone, has many of the functions of a computer and could put some office assistants out of a job, if it could work itself. Obviously, the iPhone has been around for a while and has been known for years as a quality, high-tech product. In addition, there have been a few quirks over the years that needed to be fixed and by all accounts, they seem to have done so very successfully with the newest release.
What are the Differences Between this and Previous Models?
The iPhone 5 is incredibly thin and lightweight. It is approximately 20% smaller than the previous edition, yet still is able to provide a four inch display. This is significant because the typical size screen for iPhones and many other similar products is 3.5 inches. It is a minor difference that can be clearly noted when you are the one using it constantly.
This is not a fun looking phone. Instead, it is sleek and sophisticated while presenting with either a black or
white construction that extends to the back. It has also been noted that the functionality of the iPhone 5 is better than ever and the headphone jack has been moved to the bottom of the phone. Again, this is a minor issue that adds usability and durability to the product.
A better question would be why wouldn’t a mom love the iPhone 5? With several models currently available, you can choose to have 16, 32 or 64 GB’s of storage; although as expected there is not a way to increase that amount of storage. It also has a new A6 processor, which Apple has said will increase the speed of computer functions by twice as much and still manages to be 22% smaller.
Even if the average mom is not telecommuting or requiring constant internet and communication with other people, she is still going to need to stay in touch with everyone, makes lists and stay organized…none of which are always easy in today’s society. The iPhone 5 is a brilliant step towards making life run more smoothly, whether you are the head of a company, a home-maker or anything between.
